Job Title : Human Resources-Student Intern

General Purpose of the Job : Under the direction of the Human Resources Department, the Student Intern position is responsible for partnering with the team to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the organization's business objectives. The Student Intern participates in special projects related to promoting key initiatives. This position's primary focus areas align with the agency's current special project needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Specific Duties :
- Provide administrative support to the HR team to implement human resources information system software (HRIS) (applicant tracking, onboarding, training, etc.) to ensure full utilization of the HRIS.
- Provides front desk coverage in the absence of a receptionist and during breaks.
- Assures compliance with state and Federal employment laws, Agency policies, and all applicable regulations and standards.
General Duties :
Partners with the Human Resources team as assigned.Provides customer service to internal and external customers with judgment and tact.Contributes to a work atmosphere in a manner that is positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous.Displays the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with internal and external customers.Attends work regularly according to Agency policy.Works cooperatively with others,, including all staff, supervisors, administrators, co-workers, people served, community professionals, customers, vendors,, and the public.Assumes other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities : No
Education and / or Experience :
Participation in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university in a field related to human resources, coursework, or professional training in the area of business administration.Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite : Word, PowerPoint, Excel,Proficient using email software : Microsoft OutlookOther Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
