The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) is a leading national and international non-profit organization fighting to end sexual exploitation and sex trafficking.
Position Overview:
The Director of Advancement & Strategic Partnerships will play a critical role in achieving NCOSE’s mission by creating, overseeing, and executing the organization’s advancement strategy with an emphasis on cultivating and stewarding high-impact relationships. This role will drive revenue growth and strategic alignment by deepening engagement with individuals, corporate sponsors, foundations, and organizations that share a commitment to NCOSE’s mission.
The incumbent will also play a lead role in identifying and building relationships with a diverse range of organizations and individuals to further NCOSE’s goals and build the movement to end sexual exploitation. Reporting to the President, the Director of Advancement & Strategic Partnerships will drive revenue growth through a blend of fundraising initiatives, relationship cultivation, and strategic partnership development.
This person will uniquely focus on building transformational relationships that align financial support and collaborative partnerships with NCOSE’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy and Execution
- Develop, implement and evaluate a strategic fundraising plan to increase revenue from major and mid-level donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
- Design targeted campaigns, including major giving, annual fundraising, and special fundraising initiatives and events, to meet annual revenue goals.
- Coordinate fundraising strategy with the communications team, which focuses on grassroots giving to ensure we have a plan for grassroots fundraising campaigns, recurring donor programs, direct mail, planned giving, and reactivation campaigns.
- Collaborate with NCOSE leadership to identify high-impact funding opportunities and tailor initiatives that resonate with donor interests while furthering NCOSE’s mission.
- Explore and pursue new opportunities to diversify funding portfolios aimed at enhancing financial stability and growth.
- Track and report on donor engagement activities and revenue goals, ensuring transparency and accountability to senior leadership and the board of directors.
Major Donor Cultivation and Stewardship
- Develop and manage NCOSE’s portfolio of major donors, fostering personalized relationships to deepen engagement with NCOSE’s mission.
- Analyze giving patterns, manage pipelines, and develop innovative approaches to expand NCOSE’s network of mid- and major donors and secure multi-year funding.
- Plan and implement individualized strategies to cultivate and solicit new and existing major donors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major donors, providing tailored updates on NCOSE’s impact and strategic initiatives. Assign and support NCOSE staff in building relationships with major donors.
- Collaborate with program directors to communicate NCOSE’s accomplishments and vision effectively to high-value supporters, ensuring alignment between donor priorities and organizational needs.
- Organize and lead exclusive events, visits, and meetings to enhance donor engagement and retention.
Strategic Partnership Development
- Forge strategic, high-value partnerships with foundations, corporations, nonprofits, and other key stakeholders to advance NCOSE’s mission and goals and preserve our commitment to bipartisanship and working with diverse groups.
- Work closely with the President and Directors to establish and nurture strategic alliances that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and oversee the implementation of partnership activities, including co-branded initiatives, events, and program sponsorships.
- Develop and maintain a NCOSE-wide system for coordinating, tracking, and maintaining key, high-value relationships with stakeholders (CRM management).
Public Engagement and Communications
- Coordinate with communications team to craft compelling materials that showcase the transformative impact of NCOSE’s work to current and potential funders, supporters, and partners.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging in all advancement-related communications to enhance visibility and public awareness.
- Represent the organization at events, conferences, and other forums to elevate the brand and build relationships with potential supporters.
- Provide strategic advice to leadership about NCOSE’s direction, programs, and opportunities that have potential to grow revenue and mission impact.
- Act as a passionate advocate for NCOSE’s mission, representing the organization at events, conferences, and meetings to raise awareness and increase donor engagement.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of NCOSE’s work, especially its strategic goals in corporate advocacy, public policy, civil litigation, and parent center, to speak confidently and inspire interest among potential supporters and partner organizations.
- Uphold and embody NCOSE’s core values, ensuring interactions with stakeholders reflect the organization’s commitment to human dignity, justice, and systemic change.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years in professional fundraising, with a proven track record. Also,

Compensation:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with candidate’s experience and qualifications. Negotiable range of $120K-$140K annually.
