Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician at National Colloid Company in Steubenville, OH. Under the supervision of the technical director, the chemical quality assurance technician performs laboratory testing on production samples to ensure that products meet all specifications and are free of defects. The QA technician is also responsible for all aspects of record keeping and retain storage to maintain compliance with quality assurance certifications and regulatory agency requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing on all production batches to confirm that products are within set specifications
- Produce and maintain accurate and up to date records of all test results
- Organize, maintain, and dispose of product retains in compliance with quality certifications and regulations
- Generate certificates of analysis based on test results
- Review incoming raw material COA’s to ensure raw materials meet specifications
- Sample and test incoming bulk shipments for approval before offloading
- Prepare sample formulations
- Monitor laboratory supply usage and ordering patterns
- Refill laboratory chemicals from plant/warehouse as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Laboratory Equipment and Laboratory Skills (Basic Wet Chemistry Experience)
- Quality Control and Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail and accuracy in testing procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience in the chemical industry is a plus
- College degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
Salary : $42,000 - $47,000
