Psychometrician I
Location: NCCPA is a hybrid work environment with our headquarters located in Johns Creek, Georgia. NCCPA has determined that the telecommuting status of this position is remote which means that employees in remote positions are allowed to primarily work remotely with required travel for mandatory meetings, including to the NCCPA headquarters.

NCCPA is the only certifying organization for physician assistants in the United States. Established as a not-for-profit organization in 1975, we are dedicated to assuring the public that certified PAs meet established standards of clinical knowledge and cognitive skills upon entry into practice and throughout their careers. All U.S. states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. territories have decided to rely on NCCPA certification as one of the criteria for licensure or regulation of PAs.

As the Psychometrician I , you will provide expertise on NCCPA's exam related activities and conduct research related to NCCPA's exam programs.
How Will You Make a Difference? You will…
- Evaluate the analyses and documentation completed by internal psychometric staff.
- Conducts psychometric quality assurance processes on exam related data queries and reports for NCCPA.
- Assists in the NCCA accreditation process by suppling data as required.
- Works with the IT and Quality Assurance departments to explain psychometric principles to aid in developing software and conducting quality assurance processes.
- Assists senior psychometric staff in efforts to improve NCCPA's exam products through innovative assessment methodology.
- Provide input, as needed, to the development of short and long-term schedule of psychometric activities.
Hard Skills You Will Have
- PhD in Psychometrics, Quantitative Psychology or Educational Psychology, Measurement and Evaluation
- Knowledge of diverse psychometric models including Classical Test Theory, Item Response Theory, Equating models, etc.
- Knowledge of psychometric tools, their capabilities and limitations
- Proficiency in R programming language
- Demonstrated ability to run and evaluate item and test analysis software
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, communicate and apply results of psychometric analyses and studies to technical and non-technical personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, budgeting and finance software
