The Production Layout Artist will play a crucial role in supporting the Creative Services team in the production of print, web and video based creative projects. The Production Layout Artist will be responsible for transferring design concepts into print and digital-ready artwork, ensuring accuracy and adherence to NCCN brand guidelines. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, the Production layout artist's responsibilities include production of print ready and digital artwork layout for a variety of marketing, and educational materials for NCCN and NCCN Foundation, including but not limited to, patient resources, web ads, print publications, marketing pieces, educational resources, virtual and live conference materials, video and animation, and artwork for the NCCN.org website and mobile apps.
Requirements
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare layout and print production files for the NCCN Guidelines for Patients booklets, digital ads, flyers, metric reports, corporate stationery and business card layout, PowerPoint templates, and various pieces needed for web, email, social media, and other digital use.
- Adhere to branding guidelines and maintain consistent use of all NCCN branding and templates by using approved NCCN graphics, logos, marketing standards, and other design elements as needed.
- Complete final art and files for printers and vendors. Upload files to the appropriate vendor including but not limited to commercial printers, websites, online publications, video production, mobile apps, and print-on-demand digital system.
- Help to coordinate, upload, and download language translations of patient or clinical resources.
- Work and collaborate with other members of the Marketing and Communications team as needed for coverage when workloads dictate tight turnarounds.
- Coordinate with NCCN IT department to ensure proper operation of computer equipment and software by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Maintain updates and technical knowledge of software programs.
- Participate in weekly traffic meetings to assure production schedules and deadlines are met.
- Assist during live, in-person events, requiring occasional overnight travel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or experience in graphic production for print and web or equivalent work experience.
- Experienced in Windows systems and Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with ADA compliance for documents and web is a plus.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in print production, digital art production, and file preparation.
- Proficient with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and other Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Organizational ability and flexible work style to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong proofreading skills and absolute attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
