Junior Project Manager - Job Description:
We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join a Project Team supporting a key State of Wisconsin client. The project involves managing customer-facing projects, preferably within Medicaid or Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have up to 5 years of experience and excellent documentation and communication skills.
Junior Project Manager - Responsibilities:
• Lead project planning, budgeting, coordination, execution, and closure.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation (Project Charters, Stakeholder Registries, RACI matrices).
• Manage project budget, expenses, invoicing, receivables, and subcontractor expenses.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve project risks and issues.
• Ensure project alignment with strategic goals and client expectations.
• Conduct regular stakeholder meetings and deliver weekly status reports.
• Facilitate quality assurance, testing, and risk assessment activities.
• Support larger projects under supervision and independently manage smaller projects.
Junior Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:
• 1-5 years of project management experience
• PMP Certification
• External customer-facing PM experience
• Strong experience with project documentation (Charters, RACI, Design docs)
Junior Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with Medicaid or Healthcare projects
• Familiarity with Jira or similar tools
