What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabber position at National Construction Rentals?
The employee will be responsible for assembling and stacking sections of chain link fence material to various sized welded panel or gate frames. Move materials within the yard by forklift. This position has no supervisory duties.
Essential Functions: 1) Set aluminum panel frame on fabbing table (frames 6x4, 6x12, or 8'X12' etc.) and attach new fence mesh to frames. 2) Monitor equipment and tool inventory. 3) Track/count all completed fabricated work daily with yard foreman. 4) Maintain clean and safe work area. 5) Follow all safety rules and wear personal protective equipment as required. 6) Perform other duties and/or tasks as instructed or assigned.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or General Education Development certificate (GED). Training to learn how to fab will be provided if necessary.
Skills and Abilities: Requires working independently towards general results. Assignments are primarily task oriented and include detailed instructions. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedural manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one and two-step instructions.
Licenses/Certificates/Registrations: Fork lift operator.
