Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive Business Reporting and Development Specialist to handle the analysis, design, development, implementation, and documentation of IT reporting solutions for our Operations, Sales, Finance, and HR departments. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of reports generated from Navision Financial, CRM, and SharePoint Portal systems. The ideal candidate will also contribute to quality assurance efforts, ensuring that new processes, reports, and systems align with business needs and adhere to established procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze business reporting requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to define specifications.
- Design, develop, implement, and document reports using software tools such as Crystal Reports, Jet Reports, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Reporting Services.
- Assist in the development and execution of quality assurance plans to validate new processes, reports, and systems.
- Ensure that all new and existing reports comply with established procedures and standards.
- Collaborate effectively with various departments to meet their specific reporting and development needs.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Prepare and submit weekly status reports on job activities to the IT Director, ensuring transparency and accountability in project progress.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or
- One to two years of related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Database management.
- Training in Visual Basic programming language.
- Familiarity with Crystal Reports for creating and managing reports.
- Experience with Excel Jet forms for data analysis and reporting.
