To-Go Server /Host - Stingray Grill 2 Go

DESCRIPTION

The Stingray 2 Go Associate/Host provides guests with a friendly attitude while contributing to a teamwork-based environment. This position will perform kiosk serving duties and other tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment. As needed, this position will also greet guests in the Stingray Grill in a friendly manner, escort them to an assigned dining area or add them to the waiting list. This position manages the seating chart and monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow. The host responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely and friendly manner and performs other tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations in the Stingray Grill.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stingray 2 Go Associate:

• Take food and beverage orders, accurately enter information in the point of sale, and serve guests items ordered.
• Exhibit menu knowledge and let guests know about current features and menu items while offering suggestions.
• Assist with tasks to ensure a stocked, sanitized, and safe workspace at both the restaurant and admissions counters.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in handling and managing all products produced and sold in the Stingray Grill and Stingray 2 Go.
• Provide hands-on assistance with catering functions that may require work before and after regular Stingray Grill hours of operation.
• Proactively identify and assist with areas of the restaurant where help is needed.
• Provide general information about the museum and its exhibits, the Stingray Grill, the Corvette Store, facility rentals, and upcoming events.
• Actively promote and cross-sell museum offerings including admission tickets, simulator experiences, corvette raffle tickets, memberships, etc.
• Operate and perform open and closing procedures on a cash register.

Host:

• Greet and acknowledge every guest in a friendly, fast, courteous, and efficient manner and lead them to their individual seat or other specified area and present them with menus.
• Inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.
• Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
• Manage the flow of guests in the dining area and provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if necessary.
• Be observant of guests’ needs throughout the dining experience to ensure they receive high-quality service.
• Help server staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beverages as needed.
• Assist with tasks to ensure a stocked, sanitized, and safe restaurant.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in handling and managing all products produced and sold in the Grill.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information.
• Responsibilities are not all-inclusive, additional duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior customer service experience required.
• Existing knowledge of the Museum, Corvette, NCM Motorsports Park, and/or NCM Insurance Agency preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to provide prompt and courteous customer service in person and over the phone.
• Ability to operate a cash register or other POS.
• Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.
• Ability to manage a flexible work schedule.
• Must be able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt and learn new technology.
• Ability to speak comfortably and positively to the public in both a one-on-one setting and in a group setting.
• Strong attention to detail, establishing priorities and following instructions.
• High level of commitment to team and company values.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. and push/pull 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must have sufficient mobility to move around the Museum.
