Role Overview
As a Senior Healthcare Integration Engineer, you will play a critical hands-on role in designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions that enable seamless data exchange across healthcare systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on coding and implementing robust interoperability frameworks, ensuring that our platform connects effectively with EHRs, revenue cycle systems, and other healthcare applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product, finance, and clinical stakeholders—to ensure reliable and efficient financial operations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Onboarding & System Integration
- Hands-On Development: Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable integration solutions to onboard new customers efficiently.
- Data Transformation & Mapping: Work with HL7, FHIR, X12 (837/835), and other healthcare data formats to implement data workflows.
- ETL Pipelines: Build and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure smooth data flow between systems, establishing clear patterns for consistent delivery.
Interoperability & Compliance
- Integration Mastery: Address interoperability challenges between EHRs, revenue cycle management systems, and third-party applications.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare regulations while handling sensitive patient data.
- Industry Standards: Utilize FHIR, HL7 v2/v3, CDA, and DICOM for seamless data exchange.
Automation & Analytics Enablement
- Real-Time Data Processing: Develop API-driven solutions to enable on-demand data processing and analytics.
- Data Optimization: Enhance integration processes to improve system performance and reduce latency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, finance, and clinical teams to leverage data for predictive analytics and financial insights.
Operational Excellence & Consistent Delivery
- Best Practices: Contribute to standards for integration development, testing, and deployment.
- Risk Management: Identify and help mitigate risks related to performance, scalability, and data security.
- Project Accountability: Collaborate with team members to deliver integration projects on time and with high quality.
