What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Contractor-Straight Truck position at National Delivery Systems?
National Delivery Systems is currently looking for multiple Independent Contractors with own Straight Trucks to work out of our Columbus, OH Terminal
- Run local routes
- Must be hands on with the unload process. Driver will be delivering to commercial & residential customers and have the responsibility of taking product inside for most commercial deliveries. Pallet Jack and or hand truck needed for most deliveries.
- Must be courteous & professional at all times.
- Must be reliable, trustworthy and have good communication.
- Must be in uniform and always have ID displayed.
- Must follow all procedures related to the safe & secure delivery of the items to the store.
- Must understand the importance of every procedural detail as it relates to compliance to the customer's requirements.
Requirements:
- Own 26 ft Box Truck w/lift gate
- 2 years minimum straight truck driving experience is REQUIRED.
- Clean background
- Retail Delivery experience
