Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 40 labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity for a Account Manager in the Western/Northwestern part of Michigan (Great Lakes).  Candidate must live in the area.

The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. 

This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement!  

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management & Customer Relationship Building

  • Manage and nurture an existing portfolio of dental practice accounts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with dental office staff, including dentists, hygienists, office managers, and support staff.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, proactively addressing concerns and ensuring their needs are met.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Conduct sales discovery conversations to identify practice needs and uncover opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
  • Develop and execute account plans to drive incremental revenue and expand relationships within practices.
  • Meet or exceed sales and growth targets by effectively positioning NDX’s solutions and services.

Customer Engagement & On-Site Presence

  • Spend time in the field daily, meeting with customers to build rapport and gain insight into their needs and challenges.
  • Work closely with dental lab staff to align customer needs with operational capabilities, ensuring a high-quality experience.
  • Represent NDX at customer events, industry meetings, and conferences to strengthen relationships and promote our brand.

Collaboration with Lab Teams

  • Partner with lab teams to deliver superior customer service and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain open and effective communication between labs and dental practices to ensure seamless operations and service excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 years of experience in dental sales, clinical dental experience, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing accounts and driving revenue growth in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of dental industry practices, workflows, and terminology.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Sales acumen with the ability to uncover needs, propose solutions, and close deals.
  • Past experience tracking customer opportunities in a CRM, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with strong time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex customer scenarios.
