We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Rogers Dental Lab in Athens, TN, for a Dental Laboratory Technician (Wax).

The regular hours for this position are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities And Essential Functions Of The Position

• Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
• Check set-ups for correct alignment and function before beginning waxing.
• Wax in anatomical features to achieve proper function and aesthetic appearance.
• Carefully clean on and around teeth to remove excess wax to prevent excess acrylic on surfaces at packing.
• If the case is ready for finish, seal the wax-up to the model to prevent poor fit/appearance when acrylic stage is completed.
• Clean wax from models, articulators, and implant bars before shipping to make the most attractive case presentation possible for the doctor and patient.
• Rewax resets if adjustments are needed after try-in.
• Manage daily job task assignments to keep production running at high levels of efficiency.
• Use past experience and successes to effectively trouble shoot and problem solve.
• Review final work to confirm that quality standards have been met.
• Clean work area daily.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Strong ability to read, listen, comprehend, retain, and execute on written and verbal instructions.
• High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize work.
• Able to perform certain lab tasks as demonstrated during hands-on session.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  
  

Minimum Education And Experience Required

• Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to sustain production

• Hand piece/small machinery
• Additional related materials or equipment, as required.
• Personal protective equipment, as required.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel and/or reach.
• Fine motor skills and ability to perform repetitive motions.
• Vision capabilities, including depth perception, attention to detail, and color.
