Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Dodd Dental Lab in New Castle, DE for a Administrative Shipping and Receiving Specialist.
This is not a warehouse work environment. Ideal candidate has very good data entry skills, phone and customer service.
The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
- Able to perform all functions/responsibilities of Shipping and Receiving Clerk and has the ability and responsibility to schedule cases and/or invoice cases.
- Open incoming cases and disinfect based on standards required by law.
- Place all contents of each case in work pan with proper work pan numbers on all items.
- Note condition of items on Rx as required.
- Read Rx.
- Accurately enter cases into computer for proper production (regular and hold cases).
- Move case into production area.
- Run reports from computer on scheduled basis or as requested.
- Disinfect, pack, invoice and ship cases for delivery through local source or national carrier.
- Participate in quality control of completed cases after they have been run through FedEx/UPS/USPS machines.
- Scan Rx’s.
- Answer incoming phone calls on a multi-line phone system; provide exceptional service to customers and potential customers in a professional manner.
- Perform daily close.
- Provides back-up for payment entry.
- Actively participate and share ideas for improvement that will positively shape the relationship the laboratory has with customers.
- Ensure the responsible use, safety and care of equipment. Ensure preventive maintenance requirements are met and that work area is kept clean.
- Participate in Company sponsored training and meetings as required.
- Support and incorporate NDX’s Mission, Vision and Core Values into daily endeavors.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
- Must have computer skills including typing and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrated initiative.
- Attention to detail.
- Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong data entry skills.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Some billing experience preferred
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
- Disinfectant process chemicals.
- Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work tasks that require and follow safety guidelines as stated in NDX Safety & Health Plan Manual.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
- Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Repeated bending and kneeling.
