GRANITE FABRICATOR
Overview:
A Granite Fabricator at National Design Mart is responsible for ensuring that the customer expectations are being met by ensuring the product selected is cut and fabricated according to the work order/pick ticket.
Responsibilities
- Fabricator (90%)
- Follow specs from job layout, polish, drill holes, edge treatments, repairs, adhere to policy and quality standards that are set, meet department goals
- Knowledge & Training (10%)
- Identifies personal growth needs and improvement opportunities; seeks to obtain product information; learns and assists others in learning about products, communicates with others.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the granite industry.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
- Knowledge of different stone.
- Ability to participate effectively as a team member.
- Regular attendance required with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Aspects
- Standing and/or walking for up to 4 hours consistently.
- Ability to operate computer programs
- Ability to operation a forklift
- Occasional lifting, up to 80 lbs.
Equipment Used
- CNC machines, Alpha cam
- Completes all necessary paperwork
- Performs numerical computations using an adding machine and/or calculator.
- Knows the functions of and uses a variety building industry related tools.
