Assistant Property Manager with National Development:
The Opportunity:
National Development is looking for an Assistant Manager for a property North of Boston. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for people, apartment living, and creating a sense of community among residents and team members.
As an Assistant Property Manager, Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Administrative tasks such as processing invoices, depositing rent checks, processing move-in and move-out accounting, and managing delinquency recovery
· Corresponding with prospective residents – establishing a good rapport, setting up appointments, touring the community, and guiding them through the leasing and move-in process, all while showcasing exemplary customer service and sales skills
· Preparing weekly and monthly leasing reports
· Initiate and execute the lease renewal process from offer to acceptance and prepare weekly renewal status update reports
· Participate in the planning and execution of resident events
· Conduct daily, weekly, quarterly property inspections to ensure a high level of maintenance, regularly interfacing with internal staff and vendors to maintain the same.
· Responsible for knowing the status of vacant units and inspection of all preleased apartments
· Develops and maintains knowledge of the property, community and competitors
· Stay on the cutting edge of market conditions, trends and product knowledge in the community and competitive communities; ensure same knowledge in leasing staff
· Assist with the developing and implementing marketing strategies for the properties social media sites.
· Cultivating and maintaining strong, loyal relationships with residents, offering a first-class resident experience and helping to maintain a strong sense of community
· Assists with monitoring resident satisfaction in person, through follow-up calls and emails. Also, while analyzing resident satisfaction surveys and online reviews to ensure a positive living experience.
· Play a role in achieving community financial goals with assisting in the development, preparation and administration of the community’s capital and operating budgets
· Demonstrate the ability to resolve resident complaints and direct pertinent issues and matters to the community manager
· Take over the Property Manager’s responsibilities when Property Manager is not available
· Working weekends when prospective residents are out looking for their new home.

What You Bring to Us:
· 3 years experience in the property management, hospitality or retail industries
· Experience with industry software (YARDI)
· Administrative and accounting skills
· Experience with a Revenue Management software platform (YieldStar preferred)
· Willingness to jump in, learning new tasks and systems
· Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
