Description
The objective of the Account Executive position is to meet established sales and margin objectives of an assigned region, while meeting established activity goals. NDC/Preferred Medical utilizes a CRM for reps to enter activity and track opportunities.
The candidate for this role MUST be located in one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, or Northern California
Duties & Responsibilities
- Effectively grow and manage assigned territory by relationship selling, diagnosing needs, forecasting trends, continuous account profiling and contract utilization. Within the territory: add new customers, grow current customer sales and minimize lost business.
- New Business
- Develop /generate /maintain lead lists of prospective customers.
- Sell to all prospective customers in the assigned territory.
- Follow up on all prospects and qualify leads as directed.
- Enter prospect account activity in the companies CRM.
- Initiate and close proposals in compliance with set guidelines.
- Active Accounts
- Execute a territory customer contact strategy.
- Responsible for account performance within region, including growth, customer retention and service requests.
- Identify and sell additional products and services.
- Enter all current account opportunities in the company CRM.
- Complete territory analysis as directed.
- Monitor territory performance to ensure compliance with sales and margin requirements.
- Provides reporting, tracking and documentation as needed and requested.
- Maintain within the CRM all contact names, status of accounts and all relevant territory information.
- All employees are expected to protect the confidentiality of patient health information, confidential company information, and customer records.
- Travel as requested or required.
- Additional responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of performance and achieving sales goals.
- One to three years sales experience, business to business healthcare preferred.
- Medical product, healthcare provider, and healthcare services experience.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with ability to acquire new business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to build positive relationships, critical thinking, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Ability to manage time effectively with limited supervision, time management skills and strong organizational skills.
