The National Energy Improvement Fund, LLC, a certified B CorpTM, seeks a qualified candidate for the role of Energy Lending Specialist for this exciting venture. This role reports directly to the VP, Lending and Programs. The ideal candidate has experience with energy efficiency lending and working with consumers, contractors and program partners. NEIF values superior customer service skills, team collaboration, and being capable of adapting to new technologies as we focus on continual process improvement and strive to meet company goals. Job Requirements:
- Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of all residential loan program offerings
- Willingness to work as part of a team to achieve department and company goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service to efficiently review loan applications and communicate with all involved parties
- Strong attention to detail
- Review and analyze borrower information to ensure proper adherence to underwriting guidelines
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to recognize potential red flags, inconsistencies within file documentation and other problem areas and initiate proper mitigation action
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to set and shift priorities as needed, to work under time and deadline pressure, and to effectively manage a pipeline of loans
- Current knowledge of applicable lending regulations, including, but not limited to, consumer closed end credit
- Perform duties diligently and with efficiency to meet funding goals that mirror NEIF’s forecasted volume
- Be mindful of NEIF’s mission to promote energy savings by increasing the affordability of energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements for consumers and businesses, and that loan volume translates to saved energy, which benefits both our communities and our environment
- Foster positive workplace environment while emulating company’s core values
- Strive to reduce usage of paper and impact on environment while performing duties

- BA degree or equivalent; willing to train recent graduate with customer service experience
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and compliant lending systems
