What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service (Wastewater) position at National Engineering?
4 years of progressive operations experience of industrial or municipal water or wastewater treatment facilities
Licensed Wastewater Treatment plant Operator in the state of Wisconsin or will achieve.
Degree or Technical Certificate
Experience of digestor systems, State of WI Class I or II wastewater licensing including subclass P- phosphorus nutrient removal, A1- suspended growth processes, A5- anaerobic treatment, or B- solids separation, C- biological sludge handling
Ability to travel occasionally
Valid Driver’s License
Operation and optimization of WWTPs.
Experience reading P&IDs and PFDs
Solid understanding of MBR and RO unit maintenance and operation
Experience using Ignition, Siemens, Allen-Bradley or similar automation
Understanding of industrial electrical and instrumentation design
Extensive experience with operations of package / skidded equipment, process equipment, process controls and instrumentation.
Experience with laboratory equipment, water quality testing and data collection
External MBR, biomass management, safety practices, membrane processes and cleaning regimens and methods, control sequences, microbiology, basic operations lab tests, terminology including TSS, conductivity, MLSS, controls, PLC and SCADA systems, maintenance practices, mechanical and electrical basics pertaining to pumps, valves, and piping, dewatering and solids handling equipment, hydraulics, PLC and SCADA operation and programming, neutralization and pH control, Expanded Granular Sludge Bed, RNG, biogas reactor operations, anaerobic and aerobic treatment, MBR, UFMBR, MBBR, RO, filtration, flare, boiler, blowers, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, UV, chemical dosing systems
