JOB DESCRIPTION
National Enrichment Group is seeking several reliable, self-motivated, independent, and fun-loving Music Instructors to join our team. The successful instructor, ensures that lessons remain fun and engaging while facilitating in-person music classes. Each class will be customized to fit the needs, goals, and interest of students. The instructor must be enthusiastic and exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to the communities we serve, and demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire and educate.
Duties include:
- Leading music, rhythm, and movement classes for seniors.
- Creating curriculum & lesson plans for each session.
- Facilitating classes that follow a social group work model
- Responsible for managing a classroom of 15-20 students
- Prep for classes: arriving 15 minutes to set up and prepare to start class on time.
- Clean up: must leave locations in condition found, or cleaner.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, and scholars.
- Follow up after classes with NYEG Director of Operations.
- Maintain a positive, healthy, safe, supportive and welcoming environment.
Requirements:
- Candidate should be highly responsible, reliable, punctual, flexible, outspoken, honest, self-motivated, and work with integrity. This is an independent role, with little direct supervision.
- Candidate should be comfortable working with seniors, and comfortable working independently leading a class of students. Candidate should be a clear communicator, have a positive attitude, and be able to effectively manage a classroom.
- Relevant performance experience
Preferred but not necessary:
- Degree from an accredited college or university
Must be bilingual in Mandarin
- Teaching experience and classroom management skills
- A knowledge of, and willingness to teach music, rhythm, and movement fundamentals

Salary : $80 - $100
