JOB DESCRIPTION
NY Enrichment Group is seeking several reliable, self-motivated, independent, fun-loving, part-time youth STEP Dance Instructors to join our team. The successful candidates will be supporting students while fostering and cultivating their desire for movement, choreography, and physical activity. Instructors must be able to successfully adopt a creative, fun, and energetic learning approach while promoting and instilling values of respect, team, and passion. Instructors will model and inspire a love of dance that will equip each student to succeed in whatever passion they pursue. The instructor must be enthusiastic and exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to the communities we serve and demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire and educate.
Duties include :
- Leading dance classes for youth between the age of 7-10 years old.
- Facilitate classes that follow a social group work model.
- Responsible for managing a classroom of 15-20 students.
- Prep for classes : arriving 15 minutes to set up and prepare to start class on time.
- Clean up : must leave locations in the condition found, or cleaner.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with staff and scholars.
- Follow up after classes with NYEG Director of Operations.
- Maintain a positive, healthy, safe, supportive and welcoming environment.
