JOB DESCRIPTIO
NY Enrichment Group seeks an experienced and motivated Volleyball Coach to launch and lead a competitive volleyball program for 6th and 7th-grade students at the Sunset Yards campus. This will be the first year the school is offering volleyball, and the coach will play a key role in developing the program, introducing students to the sport, and preparing them for competitive league play.
The program aims to join the MSAEL middle school league, with the competitive season expected to run mid-March through June. The schedule will be adjusted as needed once the game schedule is finalized.
The ideal candidate will have a strong volleyball background, the ability to teach technical skills and conditioning, and experience working with beginner-level middle school athletes. The goal is to build foundational skills while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the sport.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement volleyball drills, conditioning exercises, and team strategies.
- Lead and manage practices, ensuring students develop fundamental skills.
- Prepare the team for competitive league play in the MSAEL middle school league.
- Adjust training plans based on player progress and game schedule.
- Attend and coach all scheduled competitive games.
- Ensure a positive, structured, and engaging environment for students.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and NYEG leadership.
- Arrive 15 minutes early to set up and ensure smooth class operation.
- Maintain equipment and training space, leaving it clean and organized.
Requirements:
- Strong volleyball experience (coaching, instructing, or playing at a competitive level).
- Ability to teach technical and strategic aspects of the game to beginner players.
- Experience coaching youth (middle school preferred).
- Reliable, professional, and self-motivated with strong leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a team and create structured, engaging practices.
- Passion for youth development and fostering a love for volleyball.
Schedule & Location:
- Tuesday & Friday Practices (3:45 PM – 6:00 PM)
- Initial dates: Feb 25, 28, Mar 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21
- Competitive season schedule will be adjusted mid-March for the remainder of the school year.
- Location: Sunset Yards Campus, Brooklyn, NY

This is a freelance/independent contractor position.
Salary : $80 - $100
