As an Assistant Production Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with the Department Director and team, you will manage daily operations, oversee production tasks, and help maintain quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who can take ownership of their workload and contribute independently while collaborating with leadership.
This role is designed for someone who can operate semi-independently, ensuring production stays on track and addressing challenges proactively. While you will work alongside the Department Director, you should be able to manage daily responsibilities without requiring constant oversight.

Key Responsibilities
Production Management & Execution
- Assist in overseeing production processes after designs and mockups are finalized.
- Prepare artwork and files for print or fabrication with accuracy.
- Manage material handling, organizing supplies, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Ensure production assembly tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Identify and address potential production bottlenecks.
Project Coordination & Support
- Maintain accurate records of project timelines, materials, and deliverables.
- Assist with tracking expenses and basic budgeting efforts.
- Provide regular production status updates and proactively communicate potential challenges.
Collaborative & Independent Work
- Work closely with the Department Director to align on production goals and priorities.
- Manage production tasks independently, ensuring efficiency and problem-solving as needed.
- Proactively identify workflow improvements and implement solutions.
Inventory & Equipment Oversight
- Monitor supply levels and handle reorders when necessary.
- Ensure machinery and workspace are maintained and operational.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment.
Quality Control & Process Improvement
- Ensure final products meet company standards and client expectations.
- Implement workflow improvements to enhance production speed and accuracy.
- Maintain consistency across production outputs and minimize errors.
Safety & Workplace Standards
- Follow and enforce workplace safety protocols and best practices.
- Identify and report safety concerns and potential hazards.
- Maintain a tidy and hazard-free workspace.
Scheduling & Time Management
- Help create and manage daily and weekly production schedules.
- Adjust schedules as needed based on project demands and resource availability.
- Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
QualificationsSkills

Skills & Experience

- Vinyl Application & Sign Making – Experience applying vinyl graphics or working with signage fabrication is helpful.
- Basic Carpentry & Woodworking – Ability to assist with cutting, assembling, and finishing wood products.
- Graphic Design Software Experience – Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite for pre-flight checking.
- Production or Workshop Experience – Exposure to a workshop environment, including working with tools and following safety procedures.
Certifications (Preferred but not Required)
- Avery Dennison Certified Wrap Installer
