Position Title: Associate Manager – Settlement Operations
Work Location: Denver, CO
Supervisory Position: No
Duties And Responsibilities:
1. Review and analyze monthly Exchange Carrier (EC) adjustments impacting the common line, traffic sensitive and switched-only pool rates of return. Perform monthly control checks and validations to ensure reasonableness of total pool results based on historical trends. Work with regional staff and Manager - Settlement Operations to ensure reasonableness of EC reported data.
2. Perform critical monthly system verifications for average schedule and cost companies.
3. Calculate the basis point impact of changes in expense levels from month to month for each pool.
4. Prepare monthly control and validation reports in support of monthly earnings assessment package reviewed by upper management. Prepare and distribute final pool earnings reports to Industry Relations headquarters staff.
5. Assist in maintaining cost pool procedures, full screen user manual, internal settlement procedures, as well as internal desk procedures. Maintain electronic binders of critical monthly settlements reports in support of internal and external audit requirements.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
3-5 years in the following areas:
- Cost Analysis
- Customer Service
- Data Analysis/Management
Desired:
- Telecommunications
- Telephone Accounting
- System Testing
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications or related field, or equivalent work.
