- Experience with USDA and Forest Service information systems and relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point
This position supports Public Services, Lands, and Special Uses programs as a subject matter expert.
- Incumbent is a technical and administrative advisor/mentor to staff for matters relating to law, regulation, and policy. Serves as a subject matter expert for Public Services, Lands, and Special Uses. 40%
- Assists with managing information; analyzing and presenting data; and drafting documents. Performs a wide variety of administrative support and office management work. 20%
- Answers technical questions as they arise, to support new FS employees working in Public Services department. 20%
- Participates in field visits in support of Lands projects and questions. 20%
- Travel Requirements: Occasional local travel may be required for participation site visits.
- Health and Safety Considerations: Driving: if operating a vehicle is necessary, the incumbent will have completed the Forest Service required driver training and certification prior to operating a government vehicle.
