Qualifications :
Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in Federal, State or Local Air Quality Agency OR BA / BS Degree in Physical Sciences and Engineering
- Extensive understanding of complex policy and regulations.
- Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access
- Air pollution control and monitoring equipment, audio and visual equipment for presentations
Duties :
This position is 100% remote. Incumbent will work from home while preparing for training courses and travel to required locations to conduct training courses. Hours fluctuate between 40 hours / week while preparing, conducting and traveling for training courses to zero hours during the less busy times. Main duties involve conducting and developing training programs to enable Federal, State and local air pollution control districts to execute the Clean Air Act as well as state and local level regulations. These training programs will involve expert level interpretation and evaluation of real world examples of common air pollution problems found in the field and giving expert advice and recommendations to students on the best course of action to produce the best outcomes for all parties. Incumbent works with state and local air agency staff and key external stakeholders from multi-jurisdictional organizations. This work must be done with minimal assistance or review.
