Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at National Express LLC. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex diesel engine systems, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine malfunctions, including electrical, cooling, and lubricating systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Test-drive vehicles to ensure repairs are completed to a high standard
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all relevant safety guidelines and regulations
- Identify and report any additional maintenance or repairs required
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic in a fleet environment
- Diagnostic, electrical, and AC skills are essential
- Technical knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel equipment is required
- Previous fleet experience and familiarity with diesel and gasoline systems
- Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills
- Valid applicable state license (CDL preferred)
