The Regional Manager (RM) is a key leadership role responsible for leading regional firestopping operations, ensuring accountability, productivity and profitability standards are achieved for all firestopping projects across a region. The RM provides strategic direction to Project Managers (PMs) and field crews, ensuring projects meet financial, scheduling, and quality goals. This position requires senior project management experience in existing healthcare and new commercial construction, with advanced knowledge of how to safely work in healthcare settings, ensuring full compliance with Environment of Care standards.
This critical position requires an understanding of construction management and all associated trades. The RM reports directly to the Director of Operations and shall be certified or able to become certified as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) within 12 months of hire. Regional Managers are expected to visit project sites regularly in support of the project managers and NFS crews, while ensuring NFS teams are meeting or exceeding productivity and quality standards.
Role & Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, ensuring adherence to company goals and industry best practices
- Oversee daily regional operations, including project delivery, personnel management, and customer relations
- Implement and enforce company policies, ensuring organizational efficiency and regulatory compliance
- Drive strategic planning initiatives, including quality, productivity, revenue targets, and process improvements
- Partner with Field Mentor/Trainer to plan and implement training programs to ensure continuous development of staff
Project Management Oversight:
- Hold Project Managers accountable for achieving production goals, financial targets, and quality standards
- Assist in resolving challenges on projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions
- Oversee and review monthly billing and project financials to maintain budget goals
- Work closely with the Field Operations Director to enhance field productivity, quality, and efficiency
- Collaborate with the Field Operations Director and Estimating team to optimize project pricing and scope management
- Lead scheduling efforts, ensuring alignment between staffing availability, operational demands and customer expectations
· Manage budgets and minimize operating expenses
Customer Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors to support long-term partnerships
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalated customer concerns, ensuring timely resolution
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry meetings, networking events, and other professional engagements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Must possess a strong, independent work ethic
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office computer software, Procore, and Hubspot
· Working knowledge of NFPA 101: The Life Safety Code and IBC code/regulations
· Working knowledge of firestopping applications, systems, and materials
· Expert aptitude in reading and comprehension of design plans and specifications
· Ability to work in a team environment and deliver accurate results within tight deadlines
· Ability to prioritize/manage multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessary
· Must have strong organizational skills and possess the ability to meet strict deadlines
· Effective oral and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
Requirements:
· Typical workday is 7:30 – 4:00, with occasional work outside of typical hours necessary
· Must be willing to travel overnight occasionally
· Must meet one of the following criteria:
o Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent with 10 years project management experience
o Associate’s degree in related field and 15 years of project management experience
