Position: Lead Diesel Technician / Shop Foreman
Location: Charlotte, NC
Hourly Pay: $40–$48/hour (based on skill, certifications, and experience)
Annual Earning Potential: $93,000–$163,000 (Pay for Performance)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Repair Scope: Small trucks up to Class 8 vehicles – Multi-Brand | Gas & Diesel
What You’ll Do
As our Lead Diesel Technician, you’ll be a key leader in daily shop operations, focusing on:
Advanced Diagnostics & Repairs – Engine rebuilds, differential and transmission R&R, emissions system and DPF/DEF diagnostics
Supervising Technicians – Assign tasks, mentor team members, monitor work progress, and ensure repair excellence
Work Order & Schedule Management – Prioritize jobs, estimate labor times, and coordinate workflow for maximum efficiency
Quality Control – Inspect completed jobs and uphold high standards of workmanship
Safety & Compliance – Champion a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment
Training & Development – Provide hands-on coaching for tools, tech, and OEM software
Customer Interaction – Communicate repair status and build lasting trust with clients
What We’re Looking For
10–15 years of hands-on diesel and gas engine repair experience
Master-level diagnostic skills (DPF/DEF, internal engine, drivetrains)
Familiarity with Cummins, Isuzu, and OEM diagnostic tools/software
Strong leadership and communication skills
CDL Class A preferred (but not required)
Must own professional-grade tools
