Bid Coordinator

We’ve got a position cooking on our K12 Sales team. We’re looking for a Bid Coordinator who is detail-oriented and interested in a career in the food industry.
Your essential duties:
- You’ll be doing bid management, as you likely guessed, handling various types of government bids and large contracts.
- Work with our fantastic Purchasing and Sales teams to get pricing from vendors and suppliers.
- Drop some knowledge - propose specific products to our Sales Team Leads, based on the bid requirements you see.
- Put on your anti-reflective, blue-light-filtering computer glasses, and research bids and customers, and then organize and review the bid documents.
- Extra, extra, read all about the contracts and bids to make sure all rules and regulations are followed.
- Be a foodie, but for food knowledge – you must be willing to learn all about food and shipping industries to be more informed on bid specifications and requirements.
- Keep the whole team in line and on schedule – you’ll need to identify and record detailed work showing the entire bid process.
- Formally prepare and submit bids with all required information as requested.
- You’ll perform detailed job duties in a fast-paced sales office. Attention to detail is critical.
- You’ll learn to speak the lingo, using specific terminology with Sales, Logistics and Purchasing.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PDF) and Outlook
