Environmental Emissions Technician – Coudersport, PA

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct portable emissions compliance testing on stationary engines.
• Compile and analyze field data using Microsoft Office and other programs.
• Perform engine tuning and troubleshooting to ensure emissions compliance.
• Collect and report accurate field data to engineering for reporting to state and federal agencies.
• Schedule emissions compliance testing and coordinate with emissions testing contractors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s Degree in a technical field, environmental field, or equivalent experience in related field.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills and strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated time management, organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.
• Prior experience reading and interpreting drawings and technical manuals.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, problem solving and organizational skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental fields is desirable.
• Experience with Greenhouse Gas leak surveys and emissions measurement activities.
• Familiarity with various natural gas equipment (i.e., gas compressors, valves, regulators, etc.).
• Experience with emissions compliance testing and LDAR surveys.
• Knowledge of the various federal and state regulatory programs for the natural gas industry (i.e., NSPS JJJJ, OOOOa).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $60,500 - $79,000.

The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
