Operations Planner

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Planner will play a critical role in supporting efficient operations through the development and execution of operational metrics, inventory planning, and WMS (Warehouse Management System) support. The role requires collaboration with warehouse operations teams to ensure consistent and effective processes across all NFS eCommerce sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and experience in a warehouse environment.

• WMS Support and Management:
  1. Act as the primary subject matter expert on Synapse WMS for NFS.
  2. Define, establish, and maintain proper system setup.
  3. Support site operations in optimizing WMS usage.
  4. Maintain the system structure elements to support operations and billing
• Operational Metrics Development:
  1. Develop and execute metrics and forecasts.
  2. Publish routine reports based on metrics analysis.
  3. Provide analytical support to ensure cost-effective operational structures.
  4. Collaborate with warehouse operations to support effective labor planning consistent across all NFS sites.
• Inventory Management Support:
  1. Produce and review inventory-specific metrics with site operations.
  2. Evaluate product slotting and replenishment models for accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Develop and implement cycle count programs for site operations.
• Planning and Operational Support:
  1. Assist in setting up efficient warehouse operations.
  2. Evaluate and structure customer specialty work, including kitting projects.
  3. Support new customer proposals, integrations, and execution.
  4. Assist with daily wave planning operations and other tasks as needed.

EXPERIENCE

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access for data analysis and report building.
• Experience within a warehouse environment is preferred.

• Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to work independently and think critically.
• Strong collaboration skills and proactive approach to tasks.
• Proficiency in using WMS systems, particularly Synapse WMS, is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Warehouse and Office Setting
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in varying warehouse conditions.
