We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering furniture to customers' homes or businesses in a timely and professional manner. You will also be responsible for loading, unloading, and assembling furniture as needed, ensuring customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load, transport, and unload furniture items from the warehouse to customer locations
- Follow scheduled delivery routes and time frames to ensure on-time deliveries
- Assemble and set up furniture at the customer’s location if required
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during each delivery
- Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle to ensure it is clean, safe, and in good working condition
- Handle furniture with care to prevent damage during loading, transport, and unloading
- Communicate with customers and the manager team about delivery statuses or any delays
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Have own truck
- Ability to lift heavy furniture items (up to 100 - 300 lbs) and handle physical demands of the job
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Experience in furniture delivery or related field is a plus, but not required
- Basic knowledge of furniture assembly
- Ability to follow GPS directions and navigate efficiently
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends if necessary
