National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst, Project Managementfor Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations
Job Purpose
The Portfolio Analyst will join the New England Digital, Data, and Process Performance team and will be responsible for supporting with Regional and Global Business units to manage the intake and prioritization of a portfolio of projects on behalf the New England Electric organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Understand digital product priorities and non-digital projects for multiple business units as they relate to the digital product, data, and process performance.
- Guide the business units through the implementation of Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and the 'agile ways of working' methodology (Lean Portfolio Management / Leading SAFE methodology)
- Assist in the creation and tracking of the New England Electric strategic objectives as they relate to transformational initiatives.
- Reporting : Establish, maintain, and provided transparency for the New England digital portfolio to various executive stakeholders.
- Governance : Support governance meetings and reporting, arranging and inputting to executive steering.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, particularly commodity, Product, and Technology leaders across the global organization.
- Ensure optimal budget management, benefits realization, portfolio reporting and story-telling, and change control processes are in place for projects within the portfolio.
- Support product and project teams with the gathering of estimates and develop business cases with the business units in order to properly track performance and progress.
- Use KPIs and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) to demonstrate progress and ensure that projects are realizing benefits. Help leads the business units shift to an outcome-focused performance culture.
- Provide portfolio level status reporting regarding project milestones, success criteria results, metrics, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership and to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
- Ability to work across commodities (Gas & Electric) and jurisdictions (NY and MA).
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with global functions and organizations, including Information Technology / Digital Technology (IT / DT) and Finance.

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
