Job Summary
Mold, deposit, and dry starch gelatin products on a computer-operated manufacturing machine. Make a difference in production by ensuring quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Check production schedules and adjust machines for variety and quantity of products
- Lead machine set up and changeover for production runs
- Follow work instructions and standards for equipment set up and changeover
- Identify and resolve issues during setup and changeover
- Adjust controls to maintain temperature, pressure, and flow of ingredients
- Inspect and verify moldboard printing impression quality and candy depositing
- Record daily production and test data
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with equipment at an entry-level mechanic
Requirements
- 1 year experience in related manufacturing and material handling equipment in food manufacturing (preferred)
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months' related experience and/or training
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to pass certification test on pallet jack and fork lift
- Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds
