Responsibilities
Key duties of the Service Department Coordinator include:
- Handling internal and external customer inquiries related to the Service Department
- Managing work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman, ensuring timely completion and invoicing
- Uploading current information to the service library, supervised by the Service Manager
- Organizing and maintaining Service Department files and records
- Updating customer profiles with information obtained from customer work orders
- Managing inventory levels of accessories and supplies, requesting replacements when necessary
- Compiling Service Technician efficiency reports
- Coordinating warranty and product improvement claims, calculating charges, submitting documents, and following up on outcomes
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in standard desktop software, including Microsoft Office and internet tools
- Familiarity with office operations
- Understanding of technical terminology
- High school diploma or relevant work experience
