Opera Omaha is seeking teaching artists to join the Holland Community Opera Fellowship team. Artists of any discipline who have an interest in impacting the community are encouraged to apply. This program is open to all artists who engage with opera. Programming is focused on creativity and inspiration, utilizing the elements of opera (drama, word, art, movement, and music) in community-based settings.
Launched in 2017, the Holland Community Opera Fellowship (HCOF) leads the opera field in civic practice by building deep relationships outside of performance venues. Our team engages in the Omaha metro community each season, bringing artistry and connection to a variety of long-term and short-term co-created community-based programs.

JOB CONDITIONS AND WORK HOURS :
The Holland Community Opera Fellow role is located at the Opera Omaha office, with most of the work occurring in the Omaha metro in community-based settings such as nonprofit organizations, healthcare facilities and school environments. Some work will occur outside of typical 8am to 5 pm hours. This full-time position will be for the 2025 / 2026 season. Fellowship contracts are twelve months long starting in July and ending in June. However, Fellows are only expected to be present in Omaha from August 18, 2025, to May 23, 2026. The position may be renewed for an additional season. The maximum length of a Fellowship is two years.
