Position: Director of Maintenance
NHC Healthcare McMinnville is seeking a Director of Maintenance. The The Maintenance Director s responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance of the building, grounds, fixtures, and facility equipment. In addition, they ensure a continuous safe operation of the Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Program and Safety Program. The qualified applicant for this position must have at least 2 years of experience in maintenance and various mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Healthcare experience preferred. The building is close to 60 years old so applicants need to have knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance. Knowledge of building codes a plus.
Shift: M-F 8hr shifts. (On call during weekends and nights in case of emergency)
Status: Full Time

Responsibilities:
- Planning, directing and supervising maintenance program of the physical plant and institutional equipment.
- Maintaining records of work performed and costs involved. Experience with TELS a plus.
- Advising and consulting with administrator on maintenance and repair needs concerning structure, equipment, and grounds.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on all equipment.
- Ensure the facility is in a sanitary, attractive, safe, orderly condition, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper operations and maintenance of water supplies, emergency electrical systems, sewage systems, primary electrical systems, telephone systems, fire alarm systems, heating, and cooling systems.
- Develop facility maintenance plans, timetables for completion, and recommendations for maintenance projects.
- Respond to facility fire and disaster situations immediately and assist per emergency plans.
- Coordinate outside service vendors/contractors and maintenance staff to complete projects as assigned/necessary.
- Tactfully and effectively dealing with patients and families.
- Supervising maintenance assistant.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in maintenance and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
- Must have a knowledge of local codes, ordinances and safety regulations
