SUPERVISOR: Apartment Manager and Apartment Assistant Manager
WORK AREA: Apartment Dining Area
PURPOSE:
Serve apartment residents their noon meal and maintain the dining room in a clean and orderly manner.
THIS PERSON REPORTS TO: Apartment Manager or Assistant Apartment Manager
HIPAA MINIMUM NECESSARY:
Responsible to adhere to HIPAA MINIMUM NECESSARY guidelines and safeguard protected health information.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in the dining room area and other food service units. Atmosphere is usually warm, moist and odorous from foods. Possible hazards include cuts from utensils, burns from hot equipment, and falls due to wet floors.
WORKING HOURS:
Full time 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under supervision and is responsible to the following areas in food service operation. Sanitary and safe handling of food and equipment, meeting meal schedules, performs a variety of duties as assigned in the preparation and serving of food.
DUTIES:
1. Responsible for complete set-up.
2. Make ice tea and coffee.
3. Make soup during winter months.
4. Salad bar should be filled with crocks, fresh fruit bowl, and tossed green salad mix.
5. Steam table on high.
6. Wrap twelve desserts for take outs.
7. Carafe with ice water.
8. Ice tea on tables.
9. Include sliced lemons, milk, juice, salad dressings, and prunes on salad bar.
10. Be neat. Wipe and mop as you go. Area should be clean at all times.
11. Jell-O and special salads on weekends should be ready before you leave on Friday afternoon.
12. Help to serve residents as needed.
13. Serve coffee, hot tea, soup, carry tray if needed.
14. Assist in delivery of carry outs.
15. Clear dirty salad plates and soup bowls before taking desserts.
16. Clear all dishes, silver and linen.
17. Wash all tables and chairs and reset with clean linens.
18. Assist in dishwashing as needed.
19. Restock all creamers, sugars, salt and pepper as needed daily.
20. Wash salt and pepper containers as needed.
21. Check bud vases if they need attention.
22. Reset tables, silverware, glasses, coffee cups, etc.
23. Mop kitchen floor and floor area at serving line-salad bar with hot water and detergent.
24. Make sure all set-up and supplies are ready for the next day.
25. Do meal count and check your list of residents to make sure everyone has received lunch.
26. Mark calendar with guest meals.
27. Responsible to make sure complete clean-up is done including cabinets, counters, oven, refrigerator, freezer, floor, walls in dining room and kitchen area.
28. Turn off all machines and lights before leaving.
29. All other duties as necessary by Supervisor.
