JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced consultant to support NHHA’s technical advising contracts. This role is ideal for a professional who understands the challenges and opportunities within Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), County entities and the health care landscape overall and is passionate about improving service delivery through structured analyses, training, and consulting.
The consultant will be responsible for leading and contributing to assessments, workflow development, training, and strategic advising for NHHA’s current and future contracts. This position requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships while ensuring the successful execution of deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consulting & Training: Provide expert guidance to NHHA clients on program expansion, sustainability plans and business models for CalAIM program success, integrating new programs with existing programs and collecting and analyzing data for NHHA senior advisors to assess and report on.
- Technical Advising & Analysis: Conduct Gap Analyses, workflow assessments, and process improvement initiatives for NHHA Clients.
- Deliverables & Work Products: Develop high-quality reports, strategic plans, training materials, and workflow recommendations to support client goals and objectives.
- Client & Project Management: Maintain strong client relationships, ensure timely execution of contracts, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal NHHA teams and external partners to align strategies, optimize service delivery, and drive innovation.
- Process Improvement & Change Management: Support organizations in implementing operational and strategic changes to improve efficiency and outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Public Health, Social Work, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, etc.) preferred.
- Experience working with Health Plans, County Entities, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in healthcare, housing, or social services.
- Experience in understanding and implementing California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) initiatives preferred.
- Proven expertise in quality improvement, change management, and workflow development.
- Expertise in healthcare reimbursement methodologies, and contracts.
- Skilled in understanding the importance of braiding funding and grant opportunities.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), CRM management, and scheduling tools.
- Highly proficient in digital collaboration platforms, including Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, and project management tools (Asana or something similar).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and client engagement skills.
