WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY

The National Hockey League (NHL) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant to support the EVP, Media and International Distribution and Strategy along with the SVP, International Strategy.

The Assistant will facilitate seamless communication and provide administrative support for business initiatives across both the U.S. and Canada. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings a creative approach to complex situations, and has proven experience working alongside senior executives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Skillfully manage complex calendars, scheduling, and travel logistics for senior executives, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and an ability to handle last-minute changes with ease
  • Act as a point of contact between Executives and stakeholders / clients
  • Manage incoming calls and emails, drafting routine correspondence as needed
  • Prepare high-level agendas, briefing documents, and meeting materials, ensuring each document meets the NHL’s rigorous standards for clarity and precision
  • Perform specific functions to support the department’s work product, including contract routing, report writing, and presentation building
  • Provide on-site support at NHL Events, working closely with internal and external teams as directed
  • Take ownership of ad hoc projects and miscellaneous tasks, managing shifting priorities with ease
  • Provide additional support to other members of the department as needed, contributing to a collaborative and responsive team environment

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge Areas / Experience

Required

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years supporting C-level or senior executives in high-profile organizations, preferably in sports and / or entertainment
  • Discreet and experienced in handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).
  • Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting clear, polished, and compelling documents

  • Resourceful and capable of taking initiative to anticipate needs and deliver results at an executive level
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required
  • Ability to work flexible hours is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed

    SALARY RANGE : 58-65K

    Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to : experience / training, market demands, and geographic location.
