WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
SUMMARY
The Role of the Manager, Business Development is to support the media planning for US based NHL Partners by applying multi-media expertise in a strategic and consultative manner to both the Partnership Marketing (PM) and Solutions that will help fulfill Partner brand objectives and generate new NHL business. The individual will leverage their linear and digital media expertise to build meaningful 360-solutions/packages for existing or potential NHL Partners. The role requires collaboration with 3rd party stakeholders (NHL Partners, agencies, and the NHL Network) and various internal NHL departments for inputs to maximize media packages for partners and help drive incremental cross-platform media revenue. This is a full-time position located in the New York office reporting to the Senior Manager – Business Development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute strategic insights on NHL media platforms in Partnership Marketing meetings
- Support planning for all US based Corporate Partner media 360-solutions
- Provide guidance on execution and optimization of all media campaigns
- Collaborate with 3rd party stakeholders to ensure successful digital campaign process
- Seek media upsell opportunities for NHL Partners
- Support Non-Partner sales efforts in linear planning for scatter and DR market as required
- Attend NHL events to support Partner activations and host relevant agency contacts
- Manage staff to ensure fulfillment of Partner Funds, Upsells
- Keep up to date of media industry trends and provide insights to various stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
- 2 years of work experience in media with knowledge of digital, linear, and social platforms
- Direct experience and usage of an ad server such as Google Ad Manager, etc.
- Proficiency in order management systems including Operative and Broadway
- Competency in Graphic Design programs (i.e. Photoshop)
- Familiarity with social media apps such as Meta, X, TikTok, etc.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University

SALARY RANGE:
$80-90K
Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
