The Job
The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park property which includes an oval track, a drag strip, and several buildings. This position reports to the Facility Manager and is a seasonal role from March – November. This role primarily works during the week but may be required to work some evenings and weekends.

The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park property which includes an oval track, a drag strip, and several buildings. This position reports to the Facility Manager and is a seasonal role from March – November. This role primarily works during the week but may be required to work some evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper maintenance of the oval track, drag strip, and its facilities.
- Tasks may include collecting trash, restroom maintenance, building things, and operating lawn care equipment.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
LOCATION: Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park
FLSA/SALARY: Hourly / $15.00/hr.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be flexible with meal periods.
- Must be flexible with work hours and days based off facility needs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the NHRA insurance policy.
- Experience in a previous maintenance position is a plus.
- Experience with operating heavy equipment is a plus.
- Detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Must maintain a high quality in all work including accuracy and timeliness.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of management both in writing and verbally.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, run, or climb stairs, as needed.
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Must arrive on time and ready to work at shift start.
- Must be able to work effectively under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently.
- Ability to follow and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work outdoors sometimes in extreme temperatures.
