What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerospace NDT Inspector - UT Specialist position at National Inspection & Consultants?
NATIONAL INSPECTION & CONSULTANTS (NIC) an Element Materials Technologies Company, has short term opportunities open for an NDT Ultrasonic (UT) Inspectors - NAS 410 Level II to perform testing using specific techniques on aerospace products in the Cleveland Ohio area.
1. The right candidates will have Bar Plates or Contact UT experience.
2. This project is expected to go 2-3 months with the possibility to go longer.
3. US Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications
- Accurately record results and associated data of nondestructive tests and evaluations
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Actively contribute to company safety culture by observing all company safety policies and procedures
- Use caution and proper handling of company property, equipment, tools, and customer product
- Maintain a high level of energy to deliver customer parts on time or ahead of schedule
Skills / Qualifications
- NAS 410 Level II certifiable
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Must have documented training hours (classroom).
- Must have documented experience (OJT) hours.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Sufficient vision, either natural or corrected, with ability to pass annual vision exams
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $42.00 - $51.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
