National Institute of Clinical Research, a research organization serving the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, is searching for a Medical assistant with Phlebotomy experience to assist our research coordinators in clinical trials.
The Research Assistant will assist the Research Study Coordinator in recruiting subjects for assigned clinical trials and coordinating the research activities and visits for the subjects enrolled in research projects. Essential functions include scheduling research visits for subject enrolled in clinical trials, the performance of EKG, routine phlebotomy, other lab assessments such as vital signs, and obtaining necessary lab results for the subjects. The research assistant will also assist the study coordinator in reviewing and requesting medical records. Must have experience with PC software applications including word processing. The ability and willingness to learn new software program is also required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Medical assistant or Phlebotomist with at least two to three years of clinical experience (certification preferred) or a laboratory technician with at least two to three years of clinical experience.
Bilingual in Spanish and English, a plus!
