Position Purpose:
This position supports regional personnel, member company representatives, and law enforcement authorities by providing investigative assistance in the areas of insurance fraud and crime. Investigative Specialists handle a variety of member company customer service requests, specifically facilitating requests for claim files extending between two or more carriers. Additionally, the position conducts research utilizing available data sets and resources, and maintains statistical results across subject areas.
Work Arrangement and Description:
This is a field position which means that the individual is assigned to an Area of Responsibility (AOR) and must travel within that AOR in order to fulfill their job responsibilities.
Competencies/Duties:
- Manage administrative functions including, but not limited to, handling of calls, mail, copies, shipping and office supplies.
- Assist with scheduling and preparation for meetings. May be required to attend meetings and take notes.
- Liaison between NICB agents and law enforcement as requested.
- Handle member company customer service requests.
- Facilitate member company request for other carriers insurance claim files.
- Keeps statistical results and may prepare statistical reports.
- Supports NICB Regional personnel, as requested.
- Conducts research utilizing available databases and other available resources.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, Licensure:
- High School Diploma required, some college or relevant prior experience preferred
- Prior experience conducting independent, data-based research preferred

Salary Range and Statement:
This is a nonexempt position and the hourly rate range is $20.50 to $22.05 per hour which calculates to $40,000 to $43,000 annually. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors including the specific requirements for this position, the candidate's geographic location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
