Position Description
Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc. (LAWO), a non-profit law firm that provides free legal help in civil legal matters to eligible individuals and groups in western Ohio, seeks an Attorney for the Special Projects practice group in the Toledo office.
This position will focus on advocacy in the areas of housing and consumer law , including providing holistic representation and working closely with community-based partners. Knowledge of and commitment to issues surrounding Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Racial Justice strongly preferred. Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish is helpful. Some travel required. The successful candidate must possess excellent legal and communication skills, experience with case management software and Microsoft Office, ability to relate well with clients living in poverty, and a demonstrated commitment to public interest law.
