Munck Wilson Mandala LLP seeks a Client Relations and Business Development Manager to support and implement business development strategies for a 90 attorney full-service law firm. This position will support and drive growth by identifying new clients, nurturing existing client relationships, and implementing strategies to increase revenue and market presence. This role will be based in the firm’s Dallas office, with travel to the firm’s additional offices as needed (Los Angeles, Austin, Houston, Waco, and South Florida). This role will lead all BD and attorney development projects and work collaboratively with the marketing team, the managing partner, and firm leaders to focus on MWM’s growth and reputation in respective markets. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of business development experience in a professional service setting (legal, accounting, consulting, architecture, healthcare, engineering, etc.).

- Client acquisition and retention-identify business leads, develop strategies to connect and build strong client relationships
- Business development strategy – through market research and attorney interviews, identify trends and opportunities and execute business development plans
- Client relationship management – Manage client interactions and address needs and concerns proactively; provide regular updates and feedback to clients
- Firm pitches, proposals, and responses to RFPs, and related follow-up
- Internal collaboration – work closely with partners to understand their needs; identify a system for cross selling services to current clients through partner collaboration.
- Coach and train partners/associates on best practices in client relations and business development
- Coach and train partners/associates on best practices on social media (LinkedIn)
- Firm sponsorship and client event strategies; attend events and interact with clients; track accountability and follow-up
- Manage marketing budgets, expenses, and accounts payable
- Marketing and sales experience –ability to motivate partners to engage in business development strategies as well as interact with clients and understand what motivates them
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills – this role will be interacting with the partners and their clients and be expected to build strong relationships
- Strong analytical and research skills; attention to detail
- Knowledge of the legal industry and business acumen – understanding the legal industry and the industries of MWM’s clients
- Project management – ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Professional services coaching – this role is expected to lead the partners and work with them on strategies and follow through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with WordPress and CRM platforms
- Bachelor’s Degree required
