JOB DESCRIPTION:-
Title:- Bilingual Paralegal-Special Collections
Location:- 4828 Loop Central Dr. Houston, TX 77081
Rate:- $18.00/hr
Work Schedule:- Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
MUST - Bilingual in Spanish
The primary purpose of this position is to: Perform research, identify & skip trace defendants, prepare, review and file tax warrants, lawsuits, and client reports.

The primary purpose of this position is to: Perform research, identify & skip trace defendants, prepare, review and file tax warrants, lawsuits, and client reports.
Responsibilities
- Prepare warrant files for review, including conducting all relevant research.
- Request certified statements for evidence.
- File tax warrants and writs of execution via eFileTX
- Communicate with mailroom regarding courthouse runs; arrange for pickup of documents.
- Communicate with court clerks, constables, banks and the firm’s clients when processing tax warrants and/or writs of execution.
- Review files with manager.
- Schedule warrants and maintain service calendar.
- Initialize warrants in Oracle & update coding as needed.
- Prepare check requests as needed.
- Produce/update monthly client reports; including warrant log, top 200, post j, etc..
- Conduct corporate research.
- Research defendants and Initiate Lawsuits in TaxTool.
- Request reports from IT, as needed
- Run monthly post-judgment report and abstract all judgments.
- Prepare payoffs for all BPP active lawsuits and judgments.
- File and release aircraft liens with the FAA.
- Handle general correspondence, emails.
- Notarize documents.
- Required to make collection phone calls on eligible tax warrant and lawsuit accounts in an attempt to collect delinquent taxes
- Well organized and detail oriented.

- Solid work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to work in a high-volume fast paced environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
- Excellent written skills (grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax) are especially critical to this role.
- Self-motivated and requiring little supervision.
