Role Summary
The After Issue Services team provides ongoing support to our life and annuity customers throughout the life of their policy. Our service goals are to ensure our customers and agents can see that we care in every interaction we have with them by providing the best service we can.
This role, the After Issue Service Specialist, serves as a subject matter expert and dedicated resource for handling complex servicing issues related to Life & Annuity post-issue services. This role provides expert guidance and support to Life & Annuity agents, ensuring they receive accurate information, clear instructions, and efficient coordination with internal processing teams. The Specialist does not directly process requests but plays a critical role in troubleshooting, resolving issues, and enhancing agent support.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Education and Guidance
- Serves as a subject matter expert on post service issues including policy mechanics such as interest crediting, annual statements, payment options, disbursement procedures, policy features, and title updates.
- Empowers agents to make informed decisions.
- Promotes After Issue solutions through agent webinars or other educational opportunities.
- Issue Resolution
- Acts as a specified point of contact for key agencies to support After Issue requests.
- Troubleshoots agent concerns and provide solutions or recommendations for resolving service-related issues.
- Tracks issues to resolution and leverages finding to drive scalable solutions.
- Coordination with Internal Teams
- Collaborates with processing teams (Payment Center, Title, Contract Change, Case Design, Special Ops) to ensure accurate and timely resolution of agent requests.
- Tracks and analyzes service trends, providing feedback and recommendations to address process gaps and enhance operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
- 3 years of National Life Group operational experience. Deep understanding of life and/or annuity products, insurance administration and post-issue processes to troubleshoot complex concepts.
- All other duties as assigned.
- This position currently offers an onsite hybrid work schedule, with the expectation that you are in the office three days per week during onsite core days. Our current onsite core days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion.
